The lights were restored at the Prudential Center last night, allowing the Tampa Bay Lightning to resume beating the New Jersey Devils after the game was postponed Friday night.

The only thing that Devils captain Jamie Langenbrunner could compare it to was a street hockey game that was called because of darkness.

After Friday night’s NHL game was also called because of darkness – when the lights went out at the Rock in Newark – the Lightning returned to New Jersey¬†Sunday and finished off a 4-2 win in front of a crowd of about 3,000, about 12,000 less than Friday’s audience (tickets carried over). The Devils’ home winning streak ended at seven.
