DeMarco Murray has been missing from the Dallas Cowboys for weeks.
The Cowboys owner, in the wake of his team’s 19-yard rushing total against the Giants, said he was “encouraged” about the possibility of Murray’s return.
Murray, the Cowboys top running back who has missed the last two games with a ligament-damaged sprained left foot, had not been cleared to return to practice Monday.
“We’ll just have to see,” coach Jason Garrett said at his daily news conference when asked about Murray’s status. “It seems like he’s moving around a little bit better.
“Again, that’s an injury you have to be patient with,” Garrett said. “We don’t want to rush him back then take any backward steps. We’ll see how he is day by day this week.
